Knee Meniscal Taping

Loading...
This tape job is done if you are suspecting a meniscal or coronary ligament tear. Have the patient do a squat with the tibia internally and externally rotated – see which feels better. If they say internal rotation feels better then you want to tape in that direction.

1. Find the joint line and place hypafix down in a superior-medial direction
2. Put an AC tab on the joint line
3. With leukotape, tension in a medial directed force to get internal rotation of tibia
4. Have the patient squat again and see if there is relief
